Employees on our Global Functions teams encompass an array of critical roles from ensuring we’re prudently managing risk to making sure our global transactions run smoothly.


Our Finance team is a trusted advisor to stakeholders throughout the firm, delivering timely, accurate and complete information, accompanied by insightful analytics to enable Citi’s leaders to make sound decisions in support of the business’ objectives. It’s comprised of various disciplines including Treasury, Tax, Controllers, Financial Planning & Analysis and Capital Planning, which oversee matters at global, regional, country, business, product, function and legal entity levels.

Global Public Affairs

Our Global Public Affairs team works to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its business and its brand across the world through direct and indirect communications with our various stakeholders, including consumers, clients, investors, government officials and the media. The team is organized in the following areas: communications; community investing and development; community reinvestment act (CRA) regulatory group; executive services; global brand; global government affairs and sustainability.

Human Resources

Our Human Resources team helps Citi to attract, retain and develop our employees across the globe. The team does this through supporting key areas including recruiting, diversity, global learning and talent development, benefits, compensation and employee relations.

Independent Compliance Risk Management

Our Independent Compliance Risk Management team enables Citi’s compliance with laws, regulations and policies at all times to ensure we’re acting as a trusted partner to our clients, regulators, shareholders and society. The team oversees Citi’s Anti-Bribery, Anti-Money Laundering, Conduct Risk and Sanctions efforts, as well as U.S. Political Activities.

Internal Audit

Our Internal Audit team provides independent, objective and reliable assurance to our senior management and regulators regarding the effectiveness of Citi’s governance, risk management and controls. The team proactively identifies risks and delivers bold, forward-looking insights that enable Citi to achieve its strategy in a safe and sound control environment.


Our Legal team supports Citi’s business objectives while also identifying, managing and mitigating Citi’s legal, regulatory and reputational risks. As a member of our Legal team, you would provide the highest quality legal advice and counsel to stakeholders across our Firm.

Operations & Technology

Our Operations & Technology team builds, supports and delivers the infrastructure, security and operational elements that empower Citi to pursue our mission of enabling growth and economic progress. Our teams are embedded in the functions and businesses to deliver the optimal tools and environments, allowing Citi to be the best for our clients.

Risk Management

Our Risk Management team acts as a strong independent partner to our firm to set standards and actively oversee and manage various risks in a manner consistent with Citi’s risk appetite. The team also establishes policies and processes to guide risk assessment and risk management, ensuring the appropriate controls and tools are in place to identify, assess, measure, monitor and control risks taken by Citi.

Security & Investigative Services

Our Security and Investigative Services team supports all of Citi’s operations globally by protecting our firm’s and our clients’ assets and reputation. Our full-service, in-house team is comprised of several operational areas including security and safety, executive protection, emergency management, internal investigations, cyber investigations, due diligence investigations, intelligence and analysis, and employee background screening.
